The set of 4 Graphite pencils contains a assortment of drawing pencils with the most important degrees of hardness in one package:

One Graphite pencil each of the strength H, HB, 2B and 4B.

What do the hardness grades of a pencil mean?
Each pencil consists of a Graphite lead embedded in a wooden sheath.
Hard pencils (thickness H) are mainly used for technical, fine drawing, as the lead does not break so quickly. It can be sharpened particularly finely.
The HB thickness is ideal for writing.
The softer the pencil is (thickness B, 2B and softer), the more interesting it is for artistic drawing and sketching, as hatching is also possible and the pencil is easier to erase
