1. How do I find mineArticle?

8. why does my ball of wool not weigh exactly as much as stated, e.g. 50g ?

Yarns contain a certain amount of moisture. In heated rooms or at high outdoor temperatures, the moisture content can change and up to 10% of the ball weight can evaporate without changing the running length. A 50g ball of yarn may therefore only weigh 45g at times. In high humidity, however, the lost weight is absorbed again.

The yield and running length of the yarn remain unchanged despite the exchange of moisture, as the yarn balls are measured by metres during the production process. The term "run length" provides information about how many metres of yarn come to a certain weight.  For example, the label says 50g = 100 m. This means that you get 100 m of yarn per 50 grams at normal moisture content.
