VBS Handicraft set "Acrylic glass eggs rabbits"
Instructions No. 2708Colourful and with a cheerful smile on their faces: the merry gang of bunnies is not only perfect as a decorative hanger in the Easter bush or on small souvenirs for Easter brunch. Inside the bunnies, between fluffy pompoms, there is even room for a small gift such as chocolate eggs, chocolates or even a gift of money.
In addition to the materials included in the craft kit, you will need some VBS craft paint in white, mint and pastel pink, a fine paintbrush, fineliner, bamboo skewers, sharp fabric scissors and hot glue. You should also have a pencil and, if necessary, a "line ex" pen ready.
In the next step, all open eyes get their colour: first the white, then the mint-coloured iris. The teeth are also painted on and the cheeks dabbed on with the flat side of a bamboo skewer.
Once the craft paint has dried, all the other lines and details are traced with black fineliner. A small white light reflex in the eye, dabbed on with the tip of the bamboo skewer, makes for a more vivid look.
2. Now transfer the motifs onto the felt. A so-called "line-ex" pen is very suitable for this, as its colour will disappear by itself after a while - so you get a clean result. Then cut out all the pieces with fabric scissors.
3. Fill the individual acrylic eggs with pompoms. The number of pompoms you use depends on your personal taste and whether you want to hide a little surprise inside.
4. Now put the bunnies together:
First thread an approx. 40 cm long piece of satin ribbon through the suspension eyelet of the acrylic egg. Thread both ends of the ribbon through the hole in the wooden ball.
The head is not attached so that the acrylic halves can still be opened easily. The whole thing is only fixed by the ears. To do this, put some hot glue into the upper hole of the wooden ball and then quickly push the two coloured large ear parts into the hole with the help of a bamboo skewer.
Now the white inside of the ears can also be placed with a little hot glue.
Pull the scarf apart a little with your hands and then wrap it around the bunny's neck and close it with a simple knot.
Have fun!
