This tutorial shows you how to turn flower pots into real eye-catchers in just a few simple steps. The pots were primed with a simple Permenant spray and then decorated with a heart in bright neon pink.

Step 1 - Get the material ready
For this idea you will need the following:- Terracotta pots
- edding Permanent Spray in your chosen colours
- masking tape
- Pencil
- Scalpel
- edding acrylic marker
Step 2 - Priming flower pots
First select a colour shade with which all terracotta pots are to be primed. In this example, the colour "Light Grey" was used.Tip: Spray one side first, let the paint dry a little and then spray the other side. This way you will achieve a particularly clean colour result.
Step 3 - Make a stencil
Make a stencil for the heart out of masking tape: Tear off 2 or 3 pieces of tape of the same length and stick them together to form a wide piece.Draw a heart with a pencil. Place thick cardboard or similar under the tape and cut out the heart with a scalpel.
Step 4 - Set accents
Now it gets colourful! Stick the previously made stencil made of tape onto the flower pot and spray on a bright neon colour. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
Step 5 - Final touch
Once the paint is completely dry, you can remove the tape. If you wish, you can now design small tags out of clay cardboard with an edding acrylic marker and attach them to the flower pot with a cord.
Step 6 - Plant the flower pots
Once the creative design of the pots is complete, you can fill the flower pots with potting soil and plant beautiful flowers. How about some nice-smelling lavender, for example?
