DIY Clay pendants with natural motifs - simple and creative

Crafting is becoming increasingly popular, especially if you have lovingly designed the finished work yourself. Today I'm going to show you how easy it is to make unique and enchanting clay pendants. These instructions are perfect for children and adults alike. Whether you use flowers, herbs, grasses or leaves, the result will always be unique.

Also ideal for the cold season, as fir greenery is just as easy to work with. Let your creativity run wild and give your decorations a very personal touch!

To begin with, it is important to choose a suitable, flexible base, as the clay is relatively moist when working. Sandwich paper is ideal as the clay can be easily removed later.

Take a small amount of modelling clay out of the pack and knead it thoroughly. Make sure that any unused clay is packed airtight, as it dries quickly and becomes crumbly. If this happens, you can knead in a little water to make the clay pliable again.

Then roll out the clay. Take into account the size of your collected flowers or leaves - the thicker the plant part, the thicker the layer of clay should be. Mark the area for the pendant by gently pressing into the clay with a cutter. Then place the plant pieces on the clay and roll them in. Make sure that they do not overlap.

When you are happy with the pattern, cut out the pendant with the cutter you used earlier. Use a drinking tube to make a hole for the pendant. If you twist the tube slightly, the clay will stick to it and it will be easier to remove.

If any plant parts protrude, cut them off carefully and smooth out any frayed edges. Leave the pendants to dry for several days until they are completely hardened.

Once the tags are completely dry, you can attach a ribbon and your individual decorative or gift tags are ready for use.
