Pennant chain made from board fabric
Anleitung No. 1232For the pennant chain you need Chalkboard fabric and a motif or plain cotton fabric in sufficient quantity depending on the planned number of pennants. For our pennant chain we have chosen a dotted fabric and doubled it in the 1st step and glued the back of the fabric together with some spray glue.
For the exact cutting of the pennants you can use the motif template on this page. You can easily download it and print it out at home. The Stencil from Paper is cut out accordingly and transferred to the fabric and the Chalkboard fabric . The large Stencil is for the Cotton fabric, the small Stencil for the;Chalkboard fabric.
The finished pennants are placed on top of each other in the middle, with the Chalkboard fabric-pennant on top. The two fabric pennants are sewn together with the zigzag stitch
In our example pennant chain we have cut the-Ribbon decoration in lengths of 1.45 m and 1.60 m. You should determine the length of the decorative ribbon according to the number of your pennants. We have sewn 5 pennants for the 1.40 m decoration-Ribbon and 8 pennants for the 1.50 m decoration-Ribbon . Lay out the first decoration-Ribbon to its complete length and fix the pennants with Pins,. Leave a few centimeters distance between them. When cutting the decoration tape to size, make sure that the ends are long enough to hang the pennant chain later
Then sew the pennants together with a straight seam (at the top and bottom edge of the tape).
To decorate the pennant chain, you can also glue small flowers, butterflies, buttons or similar onto the pennant chain with hot glue. Chalk is suitable for writing on the pennant chain
