This is how you sew the purse:
Print out the template. Make sure that the print is set to 100% original size. Cut it out. The hatched 5x10 cm rectangles will be cut out later. Transfer the pattern to your outer and lining fabric (30x40 cm) and cut it with 1 cm seam allowance. If you want to sew your outer fabric together from three pieces of fabric as in our example, divide the pattern along the dotted lines. The middle wider strip will later represent the floor. Sew the three pieces of upper fabric together by placing two pieces of fabric on top of each other on the long sides right sides and sewing them together. The sides of the blanks should be trimmed with a zigzag stitch or an overlock stitch.
Now the zipper is sewn in between the upper and lining fabric. To do this, lay the fabrics right sides together. Topstitch one side of the zipper to the short side with a straight stitch.
Now unfold your sewn fabric so that the lining is right side up and the outer fabric is also right side up. The zipper is now in the middle. Close the zipper a little bit. Now turn your bag so that the outer fabric is on the inside and iron everything. Next, turn your bag so that the zipper and the bottom seam are centered. Now pin the open edges together and sew them together with a straight stitch. Cut off the excess zipper.
For the bottom, unfold one corner next to the zipper so that the seam is in the middle. Now draw the corners (approx. 5 x 10 cm) and pin them together Needles . Sew the corner to the drawn line and cut out the corner. Clean up the edges. Repeat this with the other three corners. Now turn your bag over and your beautiful cosmetic bag is ready!
Tip: If you use uncoated cotton fabrics, you can coat yours with impregnating fluid before Fabric cuts sewing, so that your bag is dirt-repellent and wipeable. You can also reinforce your cotton fabrics with fleece before sewing.
