Macramé Table Runner
Anleitung No. 2421Macramé is totally on trend. Bring the boho look into your home. In our instructions, we explain how to make a beautiful table runner with macramé elements yourself. It will be an eye-catcher on your table!
So wird der Makramee-Tischläufer hergestellt:
Start by knotting one macramé piece. You will need 36 x 180 cm pieces of yarn per macramé piece. Lay these yarns double and hang them preferably over a round bar or similar.
Below is a description of the different rows and the knots to be tied for each row:
Row 1 = Lark's head knot backwards
The pieces of yarn are attached to the round stick using the lark's head knot.
For beautiful knotting patterns you can use the staggered square knot.
Row 7 - 8 = Horizontal rib knots
Row 9 - 10 = Diagonal rib knots
Row 11 - 13 = Cross knot
Finally, leave the ribbons as long as you like and cut the ends as you like if necessary. Tie a knot at the end of the ribbons.
Now repeat the above process for the second macramé piece.
After knotting the two macramé pieces, sew the runner. Adjust the length to your table and the width of the macramé pieces. Measure both and transfer the measurements to your cotton fabric. Cut the runner with a seam allowance of approx. 1.5 cm all around. Fold the edges over first by approx. 0.5 cm and then the remaining 1 cm. Topstitch all around the table runner.
Pin both macramé pieces to the ends of the table runner with the initial loops and sew over them.
