Laundry bag with fabric appliqués
Anleitung No. 553This laundry bag has nothing to hide. The small pieces of clothing are appliqués made of fabric remnants and give the bag an individual friendly look
Here's how it works:
For the mini clothes, place various pieces of fabric on the rough side of the ironing fleece and cover them with kitchen paper to protect your iron. Then iron the two layers together at cotton temperature. Now place the templates under the fabrics and trace the contours on the protective paper of the ironing fleece. If the fabric is too dark, hatch the back of the pattern with a pencil, place it on the ironing fleece and trace the contours with a ballpoint pen. In this way the lines are transferred to Paper and you can cut out the motifs exactly
Now mark the course of the clothesline with the line-ex pen. Arrange the motifs underneath, remove the protective paper and iron them on at cotton temperature.
Embroider as contours with the divided Embroidery twist (3 of 6 threads) even loop stitches around the ironed-on garment. Here the stitching is done from the inside to directly at the edge of the motif. When the needle is pulled out, the thread must always be under the needle and forms a loop when tightened. Embroider the contours inside the trousers with a stem stitch. Then sew on a piece of Jute yarn as a clothesline
Finally, cut small slits in the pocket below the clothesline and insert small clothes pegs through them.
Extra tip: loop stitch
With a loop stitch you stitch into the fabric in the design and cut out again directly at the edge. The thread lies under the needle tip and forms a loop when tightened.
