You can easily make beautiful fairy houses from terracotta pots with moss and decoupage pictures with our instructions. The découpage technique is both simple and decorative. The little houses are perfect for decorating on the table, on the dresser or on the windowsill.
This is how you design the enchanting fairy houses:
First paint the embossing foil with antique white craft paint and leave to dry.
Roughly cut out the desired motifs from the straw silk paper. Coat the embossing foil with napkin varnish, place the motifs on top and coat with varnish again. Once dry, cut out the motifs with the tweezers. Place the foil with the motif facing down on the VBS special mat and emboss the back. Embossing deliberately emphasises parts of the motif, thus highlighting certain areas. The result is an impressive 3D effect.
Paint the terracotta pots, the saucers, the miniature table and the stools with VBS craft paints. The terracotta pots and saucers can now be glued on top of each other using VBS handicraft glue or hot glue to create the fairy houses. Glue on the Iceland moss and the embossed motifs - the cute fairy landscape is ready.
