DIY memo board with a retro look

Step 1 - Cut out the recess for the picture frame holder

Place the back of the picture frame on the fabric, leaving some excess on each side. Fold this over at the end. Now cut out a small rectangle where the frame holder will sit so that it is not covered.

Step 2 - Cut strips of silk ribbon and stick them on

Now cut strips from your silk ribbon that will later be placed diagonally on the front of the frame. Cover one side with double-sided adhesive tape, but not all the way through - this leaves space for your pictures. Set aside.

Step 3 - Attach the fabric to the back wall with double-sided adhesive tape

Apply double-sided adhesive tape to all edges of the fabric, peel off the protective layer and stick the fabric firmly to the back wall. Make sure that the fabric is stretched tightly to avoid creases.

When you turn the back panel over, you should see a wrinkle-free result, as shown in the picture.

Step 4 - Glue strips of silk ribbon to the fabric

Place the strips of tape evenly on the front of the frame, then remove the protective layer of tape and attach the silk ribbon to the fabric.

Step 5 - Assemble the frame and back panel

Carefully place the back panel back into the frame and secure it from behind. excess fabric and silk ribbon are now invisible.

Step 6 - Attach the decorative bow

Decorate the entire construction with a small bow at any point for the finishing touch.

Step 7 - Decorating the memo board with photos etc.
