Decorative Easter Bottles with Fabric Covers
Instructions No. 1119And it's that easy:
Which material is needed to make six decorative bottles?
In addition to the 6 bottles, you need six approx. 25 x 25 cm fabric sections of your choice. Furthermore you need different ribbons, lace trimmings and letters for decoration. For painting the letters we also recommend Hobby Color Acrylic paint as well as tape-Ribbon for attaching the letters. To work on the fabric you will need a sewing machine and fabric scissors
How do I make the bottle covers?
Fold one edge of the fabric over with the left side approx. 1 cm wide and sew the hem tightly together with a backstitch. Now fold the piece of fabric over with the right side. Topstitch the sides that are not sewn over in one go. Turn the piece of fabric over through the open side.
How do I decorate the bottles?
To decorate the bottles, the letters E-A-S-T-E-R (English Easter) are painted with brown Hobby Color Acrylic-paint. The letters must dry afterwards to avoid leaving unsightly stains on the fabric.
The bottles are taped-Ribbon once all around under the cap of the bottle. Fix afterwards Lace ribbon on the Adhesive tape.
Now place the bottles in the previously sewn fabric sleeves and stick the bottle centre tape-Ribbon. On the tape-Ribbon place the Decorative ribbons. The letters are stuck in the middle of the bottle Ribbon.
