VBS Craft kit "Penguins"
Instructions No. 2834Isn't this a cute winter decoration? Just bring these sociable birds from the southern hemisphere home! Our craft kit with the little penguins is great crafting fun for young and old.
In addition to the materials included in the set, all you need are sharp scissors, hot glue and a brush.
Important: It is best to apply 3 layers so that the paint covers well. The individual layers of paint should always be completely dry before applying another.
For the head: Paint half of the polystyrene ball black and draw a narrow triangle at one point. Make sure that the sides of the triangle are rounded slightly inwards. Feel free to delicately sketch it out with a pencil beforehand.
For the body: Place the terracotta pots on the table with the opening facing downwards. Draw a triangle with a pencil starting from the hole. Leave this area white and paint the rest black.
Tip: If necessary, unclean edges can be redrawn with a fineliner at the end.
2. Now glue the heads of the penguins onto the terracotta pots. Then insert the beaks and glue on the eyes. To glue on the feet, clip off the little legs first. Put a dot of hot glue on the feet and fix them to the terracotta pots.
3. In the next step, transfer the motif template for the fins and tail onto the foam rubber. Cut out all the parts and stick them to the terracotta pots with hot glue.
4. For the ear warmers, cut 9 cm from the chenille wire. Glue a pompom to each end. Then glue these to the heads. Put a top hat on one of the penguins - this will make the penguin gang a real eye-catcher!
5. To complete the set, the penguins need a scarf. Cut a 1 cm wide piece of craft felt along the long side. Tie it around the neck with a simple knot. Shorten the ends if they are too long and cut the fringes. Shape the scarf nicely - and your penguins are ready!
