VBS crackle varnish is a great painting medium for an effective antique look.

If surfaces coated with crackle varnish and dried are painted over with paint, the fascinating tear varnish effect is created by the "incompatibility" of the two layers of paint.

The interesting cracks give your object a special antique look. Crackle varnish, also called tear varnish is very popular in the napkin technique.

Tips to use:

Applicable to: Almost all surfaces that are subsequently treated with the napkin technique.
Apply with: Brush.
Preparations: The surface should be dry, clean, free of dust and grease.
Processing of material: Ideally, first apply a dark colour, allow to dry and then apply the crackle varnish in one direction. If a lighter shade is now painted on, the tearing effect will occur. Continue with the napkin technique.
