Stearin is extracted from vegetable palm oil and is biodegradable. It is used to make candles and soaps and retains its shape even at high temperatures. Ideal for colouring.

Most candles are made with a ratio of 80% paraffin and 20% stearin, because this ratio gives you the optimum result.
