Making bees from polystyrene balls
Instructions No. 1794Summertime is bee time. Bees are small insects but they are great. They bring diversity to our diet and Nature to our food. They pollinate trees and plants and help us to produce fruit. And of course not to forget: the delicious honey!
Our instructions show you how to create a beautiful bee colony. Also very suitable to spend a nice handicraft time with children or to create a swarm of bees at a children's birthday party
This is how the busy bees are made:
Now cut the white one for Chenille wire the wings. For this, you divide the white wires in the middle. Now take two of the resulting white chenille wires and bend one circle each, which should represent the wing. Turn the ends together. Now thread a black Chenille wirewire in the middle through a circle or wing and twist the white wire together above the black wire so that the black wire is held. Put this black wire around the Chenille wire middle of the bee's body and thread the second wing opposite the first wing. Proceed as with the first wing. Now put the black wire completely around the ball and knot the ends of the black wire. Cut off the protruding ends. Tip: To be on the safe side, you can also put a few drops Handicraft glue under the wire to make sure it is tight
For the black strip with the feelers, place the wire around the body and fasten it with Twist the ends together Handicraft glue. above the head and shorten the resulting feelers as desired. The sensors are now glued Handicraft glue Pompoms to the body.
For the back stripe a black one with Chenille wire stick Handicraft glue on.
Afterwards the sting is designed. To do this, take a snap off a piece and Chenille wire insert it into the middle of the Polystyrene ball.
Finally, the bee can be decorated as desired. Glue the Wobbly eyes on. With a black and pink Marker you can paint on a mouth and color the cheeks pink. Here you are free to use your creativity to paint the bee's face. For example, how about a kissing mouth or a grinning bee?
For the suspension you turn a hanger Polystyrene-in the middle of the body of the bee and then thread the Perlon thread through the eyelet.
