Macramé Bunnies and Flowers
Anleitung No. 2140Macramé is a great technique with which you can create beautiful decorations. In this tutorial, we will show you how to make beautiful flower and bunny pendants. In our basic instructions you can read about the most important aspects of the macramé technique and in the downloadable file you will find all the important knots clearly explained.
This is how the bunny pendants are knotted:
- Lark's head knot backwards
- Spiral knot - Turned to the left
- Square knot - Turned to the left
- Overhand knot
Cut two 1 metre long ribbons from the warp yarn. Take a wooden ring and attach the ribbons to it with the "lark's head knot backwards". Now tie the "spiral knot - turned to the left". Attach the end of the ribbons to the wooden ring. One rabbit ear is finished. Repeat the process for the second ear. If you want the rabbit to have a kink in the ear, you can fix the knotted ribbon with craft glue.
Thread three approx. 6 cm long ribbons through the wooden bead. Fix the end of the threads to the wooden ring on both sides with craft glue.
For the other two metal rings, tie two approx. 40 cm long ribbons with the "overhand knot". Knot them to the metal rings for hanging. Attach the bunny heads with perlon threads and knot them to the metal rings or glue the ears to the ring with craft glue. At the bottom of the metal rings, attach some ribbons with the "lark's head knot backwards". String the ribbon and cut it to length. This is how you make the beautiful tassels.
This is how the flower pendants are knotted:
- Lark's head knot backwards
- square knot- facing left
- staggered square knot
Cut 12 ribbons of 30 cm each from the jute cord. Attach them to the key ring with the "lark's head knot backwards". Take 4 ribbons to knot 2 "cross knots- facing left". Repeat this with all the ribbons. Then make the "staggered square knot" in turn. For larger flowers, tie the knot further back. For smaller flowers, tighten the knot.
Take 2 ribbons and knot them together at the end for later hanging. Cut the remaining threads with scissors.
