The cute bunnies, which are upside down in the small Terracotta-pots, can also stand on the windowsill before Easter. They consist of Polystyrene-eggs, which are felted with fairy tale wool. Paws and flowers are cut out of coloured Felt sheets and glued on.
The Polystyrene egg is best felted with a felting tool that felts with several felting needles or with a turbo felting machine.
Before the felted Polystyrene eggs are put into the Terracotta-pots, they are painted with Handicraft paint , decorated with felt flowers and the rabbit's feet.

First of all, prime the eggs with Handicraft paint beige Handicraft paint so that the white Polystyrene doesn't shine through later.
Then felt the eggs completely. For this purpose, fairy tale wool is laid on in thin layers and gradually fixed with the dry felting needle.
From the motif template, templates are now made from solid Paper or cardboard: The individual parts of paws and flowers can be easily Felt sheets transferred to the templates, cut out and then glued Handicraft glue together.

With this porous material it is important not to prick the same spot too often with the felting needles. Otherwise the Polystyrene underneath the felt layer dissolves and the egg becomes too soft.
