For this idea, you will need 12 craft blocks made from the wood of your choice. For a smoother surface, first sand the blocks smooth before gluing them together.
First, take 4 blocks. Stand them upright on their long, narrow sides. Seal the ends with VBS handicraft glue and glue the blocks together to form a frame.
Now take another 4 blocks. Lay them flat in front of you. Again, glue the narrow ends together with a little handicraft glue . Repeat this once more.
Print out a text or lettering of your choice. Place this under the vellum paper / star foil and trace it with a Posca marker . Roughly cut it to size and glue the desired text onto a flat frame.
Fix the wires of the chain of light into the frame with hot glue and the battery compartment on the outside.
Then apply to the narrow edges of the frame VBS handicraft glue and place the flat frame with the lettering on top. Let it dry briefly before gluing the other side.
