Easter basket made from craft blocks
Instructions No. 2964In spring, it's fun to make Easter decorations. Our idea shows an Easter basket made from craft blocks and decorated with self-cast bunnies and marbled eggs. Also a cute gift to bring home!
This is how you design the basket and bunny:
Marble the eggs:
Protect your workstation with a VBS handicraft mat. Take an old container and fill it with lukewarm water. For each marbling process, add a few drops of colour for marbling to the container and draw a pattern into it with a bamboo skewer. Plug your plastic egg onto a bamboo skewer and dip it into the water with a slight twisting motion. Pull it out and place it in the flower arrangement foam to dry. Repeat this for the next egg. Once dry, insert a hanging loop into the opening of the egg and attach a ribbon to it. Hang this on the handle of the basket.
Fill the basket with decorative willow and Iceland moss. Now you can decorate it as you wish with figurines and scatter decorations.
We moulded our decorative bunny from Raysin:
Mix 5 tablespoons of Raysin with water to make a creamy mixture. Pour the mixture into the silicone "bunny" mould. Gently tap the mould on the tabletop so that bubbles can escape from the casting compound. Leave the bunny to dry for approx. 5 hours. Carefully remove the casting from the mould and allow it to dry thoroughly. You can then marble or paint it.
