A self-designed bag is unique and a very personal and creative gift for many occasions. There are no limits to the choice of motifs. We show you how painting with a stencil works best.
This is how you design the bag:
Wash the bag without fabric softener beforehand. It is important that you do not use any additives such as fabric softener, as this will prevent the colours from adhering well. The textile dye is ready to use and can be used directly from the bottle. The colours can also be mixed with each other. For an intense colouring, use the fabrics dry. For a light colouring, moisten the fabric.
First place a craft mat in the bag so that it does not dye through on the back. For an implementation like in our example, first moisten the bag with a pump sprayer. Prepare a small bowl with the pure textile dye. Now apply the colour to the moistened areas. A colour gradient will now form. For a more intensive colouring, apply more layers of the textile dye until you have achieved your desired result. For a more intensive colour gradient, spray over the colour with the pump sprayer. Now let the bag dry. You can speed up this process by using a hair dryer. After the drying time, you can iron the textile dye without steam.

Next, spray the template with the adhesive spray and place it on the bag. Use a brush to apply the textile colour in brown afterwards. Pull off the stencil, blow dry the bees and repeat the process until you have the desired number of bees on your bag.
For the lettering, first place the graphite paper on the fabric. Make sure the graphite side of the paper is resting on the fabric. Place the printed template on top and trace the lettering with a pencil or sharp object. Use a fine POSCA marker to trace the pre-printed text. The POSCA marker is ironed on from the left.
Info: Fabrics with the textile dye can be washed in the washing machine up to max. 90°C. Fabrics with Posca markers can only be washed in the washing machine up to max. 30°C, as the writing or motifs would have to be traced at a higher temperature.
