First glue the desired VBS wooden sticks together as shown in the photo. It is important that the tips of the stars have the same distance at the bottom. For example, the simple star with 5 points.
Use two wooden sticks to make the 5 prongs/tips with the same spacing at the bottom. Then glue all 5 prongs/tips together to make a star.
After all the points of the stars have been glued together, you can then remove the glue and paint them as you wish. For the large star, you can optionally glue a felt star in the middle to create a beautiful 3D star.
