First, divide the round stick according to the number of houses. One stick is enough for 10x 10cm or 8x 12.5cm. If this is too short, you will need more than one rod.
Cut the pieces to size and sand the edges if necessary. Sometimes there may be rough edges on the houses too. If this is the case, sand them once more with the sandpaper.
Then drill a hole in the bottom of the houses with a 6 mm drill and remove the ribbons. You can easily pull them out from the inside, e.g. with tweezers.
