First protect your workplace, for example by placing a VBS handicraft mat underneath. Then take some of the modelling clay and knead it vigorously. Pack the rest of the mixture back into the airtight packaging. Now roll out the modelling clay with the acrylic roller to a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm. Cut out stars of different sizes. Make small holes in the stars with the pottery needle so that you can add a ribbon to them after they have dried. Leave the shapes to dry for several hours. Turn them over in between using the polishing tray. Depending on the thickness, the Time to dry: takes between 6 and 15 hours.
After drying, coat the stars with gold leaf priming milk. After approx. 20 minutes, the surface is ready for 1 to 24 hours. Place the leaf metal gently onto the surface using a brush or cloth and press it down carefully.
After drying, the remains can be removed with a dry brush. Leave the decorated stars to dry for at least 24 hours before applying the top coat. The protective varnish is surface-dry after approx. 30 minutes.
Cut off some of the cord and pull it through the star. Tip: You can also divide the cord into several strands so that it is thinner. For some of the stars, thread the "feathers" charms onto the cord. knot the ribbons to create a pendant.
